Many people today have health problems, such as decreased physical strength and obesity, due to lack of physical exercise. Moreover, an increasing number of people are paying attention to health problems caused by inappropriate nutrient balance and recognizing the importance of participating in sports. The Center for Health and Sports Science offers KSU students various kinds of support, including the promotion of the use of indoor and outdoor physical exercise facilities, according to the students’ individual needs, even during hours other than their regular classes.
The Education Research Section is in charge of teaching Health Education Course, one of KSU’s basic education subjects. The section also seeks to contribute to society by conducting research on health and sports science.
The Sports Science Section is responsible for offering opportunities to participate in sports, including lifelong sports, and manages sports-related facilities on the campus.
