２１世紀型スキルとは、人が社会の一員として必要な４つのスキルのこと。４つのスキルとは、コミュニケーション、コラボレーション、批判的思考、創造性である。コミュニケーションは、話すこと、書くこと、発表すること、討論することを含む。コラボレーションは、他の人達と働くこと。批判的思考は、情報・問題・地球規模の問題を理解することと関連している。創造性は、新しい考えを思いつくこと等も含む。
